Message Cast manifolds are an excellent choice for production. They can be made into any style, they can with stand all the heat you can throw at them, but they are heavy, and if you want them smooth on the inside they have to be extrude honed or ported and polished but gains are small. As for paying a high dollar amount for cast is not a wise idea.

The inconel manifolds are probably the best on the market for the money, if they are used CORRECTLY. If you think about the metal itself its amazing stuff. F1, Champ Car, IRL, NASCAR, and many others use this choice of metal for exhaust systems and headers. Its light, because of the nature of a round tube the flow is better, and lighter. The equal length manifold is hard to achieve. More exhaust energy is lost in an equal length setup, a simple log style like the GD style is the best for the turbos, more exhaust energy and heat helps spool the turbos. Maximum Boost explains all these controverses. Thats just my opinion though. Im sure others on the forum feel the same way.

As for racing I can assure you Inconel is the way to go. Although I do not have the GD manifolds on my car. Just from the tried and trued data found in the racing world it is the choice of the best that demand the best.
